LookalikeMarks

Trademark monitoring for small brands — US & UK

Every week the USPTO and the UK IPO publish thousands of new trademarks. We read every one of them and show the ones that look like yours — while you can still oppose them.

Free, no sign-up: similar marks published in the US and UK over the last year.

An independent service. We are not the USPTO or the UK IPO, and we never send letters or invoices by post.

What a check showsinvented marks
  • KWIKSounds like your mark · your mark QUICK
  • WILDE TRIBESpelled almost like your mark · your mark WILD TRIBE
  • SOLSTICE SKIN COContains your mark · your mark SOLSTICE
  • BLOOMWELLYour mark inside a word · your mark BLOOM
For each one: the reason in words, the classes in common, the owner, the last day to oppose with the days left, and the official record.

How it works

  1. We read the official journals.

The USPTO Trademark Official Gazette every Tuesday and the UK Trade Marks Journal every Friday: about 14,000 marks published for opposition a week.

  2. We compare them with your mark.

The same words, words that sound alike or are spelled almost the same, your mark inside a longer one — in the classes you sell in.

  3. You see the deadline.

In the US a mark can be opposed for 30 days after publication (more on request), in the UK for 2 months (3 with an extension).

Real marks from the USPTO Official Gazette of Oct 20, 2026 and the UK Trade Marks Journal of Oct 23, 2026, each found for a common word a brand might watch. All of them can still be opposed.

If the last US day falls on a weekend or a federal holiday, it moves to the next business day. Sources: 37 CFR §2.102, §2.196 and §2.6; UK IPO guidance on objecting to trade marks. Checked 23 October 2026.

Who it is for

Small brands without a trademark lawyer on call: Amazon, Etsy and Shopify sellers, independent shops and startups. If you sell in the US or the UK under a name you care about, a look-alike filing is worth knowing about while it can still be opposed.

What it costs

The check is free and needs no sign-up. Weekly email alerts are not open yet; until then, run the check after each publication.
