The free check
The mark, the classes and the country you type are used to find similar marks among the ones published over the last year, in the memory of our server. The latest checks stay in that memory for a while, so that the filters and the other order work without searching again; they are never written to a database or to a log. The server’s log notes only how many marks a check found and how long it took.
To keep the check available to everyone, the server keeps in its memory which addresses started a search in the last minute, a few minutes at most, and never writes them down.
Visits
The site has no visit counter and loads no scripts from other sites.
No cookies, no ads, no account
The site sets no cookies, shows no ads and has no accounts. Nothing is sold or shared. The fonts are the site’s own files: the pages load nothing from other sites. The links to the USPTO and the UK IPO open their sites, which have their own rules. LookalikeMarks is an independent service: we never send letters or invoices by post.
